Can I receive a refund?
Whether The Tour Specialist (TTS) will issue a refund depends on two things: (a) the type of tour booked and (b) the timing of the cancellation.

Small Group Tours and Activities: For all small group tours and activities, any activity where only a ticket is purchased, TTS will issue you a cash refund of your purchase price only if TTS receives your cancellation request at least 24 hours before the scheduled local start time of the tour.

Private Tours: If you booked a private tour, TTS will issue you a cash refund of your purchase price only if TTS receives your cancellation request at least 7 days before the scheduled local start time of the tour.
Is any refund or credit possible outside of the timelines stated above?
No.
Will there be a cancellation fee?
TTS will use best efforts to issue you a refund with no additional fees. However, TTS may have to charge a cancellation fee in certain cases, which will be deducted from your refund. The amount of any cancellation fee will depend on the tour, the circumstances of the cancellation, and the costs incurred by TTS as a result of the cancellation.
What if it’s not my fault that I had to cancel?
TTS’s cancellation policy applies to cancellations due to travel delays and unforeseen circumstances, so TTS recommends that you purchase travel insurance for your trip.
What happens if TTS cancels my booking?
Tours are subject to sudden and unexpected changes. If TTS has to modify or cancel a booking due to ordinary events, TTS will make best efforts to find an alternative tour that is acceptable to you. If an alternative is not acceptable or possible, TTS will offer you a full cash refund. However, if TTS has to cancel a booking due to certain major events, such as a pandemic, war, the closing of international airports, or acts of God, TTS will issue you a credit voucher, valid for three years, equal to your purchase price, instead of a cash refund.
